This short film was produced by Stichting Open Filmteam and directed by Daan Van’t Einde. With over 1.5 million views on YouTube the success of this short film far surpassed expectations. 'Welcome to Earth' was already selected for over twenty film festivals world wide. The film received nominations for many awards like Best Short Film and Best Short Sci-Fi by the Hollywood Verge Festival and Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Supernatural Short by the Alternative Film Festival. It was also selected as one of the 13 finalists of 2019 of the international That Film Festival.
My time on the set of Welcome to Earth was a lot of fun. I met some amazingly talented people. It was the first time I got to work with dialogue coaches. Ronnie Stafford and Marianne Schoonderbeek were amazing at helping me work on my lines. I still use some of the tips they gave me on sets today. I also loved working with Daan Van't Einde as a director. He has a very clear vision but somehow manages to work out his ideas while making everybody on set feel comfortable. Daan and I both have every intention to do another project together in the future if an opportunity presents itself.
